RE: Why google not crawling site
Hi Roxy,
Yeah, it is correct Google crawled your Web site last on April 1st. You can see similar results, if you see compare it with Web sites that're similar to yours. Crawling by Google is important, if your Web site has much dynamic content. Once your Web site is indexed, there's not much sense in re-index of same static content. Fresh new content is good to make Google crawl again. Web sites that've high GPR values 5, 6, or 7 gets easily crawled/ indexed for fresh content. It may also be noticed that Google crawl is prominent during/ near global Google update (it may next happen in Jun/ Jul/ Aug). After recent Feb/ Mar 2006 update, Google engine seems a bit lazy in crawling activity. Obviously, its really difficult to crawl all the Web sites, again and again. Last thing I can tell is use of excessive onpage javascript, RSS feeds that're not changing frequently, and lacking of content can be the reasons for less crawling activity. You can create a Google Web master's account and submit your sitemap.xml to Google; there you can see statistics (including top keywords) as gathered by Google crawlers. About Google, I can say, its really a awesome unpredictable piece. None can tell, what Google machines are doing, do and how ..! Kind regards, |
